Theology on Tap is a chance for adults to come together for good times, good speakers, and good beer. We typically meet once a month at Harry’s Chocolate Shop in West Lafayette, on Purdue's campus.
Every session we invite a different speaker for a BRIEF presentation on faith issues that directly relate to your life in a modern world. Strengthen your faith by talking about real-world topics grounded in the teachings of Christ and of the Church. Each speaker talks about an area of interest to you and then, unlike a typical lecture, leaves time to answer YOUR questions and concerns.
Come join us at our next event, grab a brew, meet a friend, and learn something new… all in the comfort of a great local bar!

About Theology on Tap: With the lack of ministry to young adults in larger cities, Fr Jack Wall, a priest at St. James in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, created Theology on Tap®. His parish would host six speakers for college students home from school throughout the summer. The program culminated with a cook-out at the Bishop’s residence. TOT’s popularity spread throughout the Chicago area, with many parishes copying Fr Wall’s work. In its 25th year, young adults can find Theology on Tap in 46 states and six countries! Many gratitude is due to these first groups of priests and young Catholics from Chicago for creating such a successful ministry.
St. Tom’s is the sponsoring parish for Theology on Tap within the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. This ministry is geared towards both Purdue students and resident parishioners. We would like for EVERY young adult in the Greater Lafayette area to feel welcome at our gatherings.
Social hour begins at 7:00. Sessions start at 7:30 with a short presentation from a speaker who is an expert on topics related to modern-day Christian living. After the short presentation, the floor is opened to questions from anyone who might have one. The rest of the time is devoted to socializing, getting to know one another, and supporting each other in our shared Catholic Faith. Come early and have dinner with us or come just for the presentation and social time; either way, come… enjoy… learn.
