As a faith community, we must remain vigilant and committed to safeguarding our children and youth, the most important gifts God has entrusted to us. May our Blessed Mother Mary intercede for us in our ministry and leadership as we care for our youth and most vulnerable, always bringing us closer to Jesus Christ.

How to report an incident of sexual abuse of a minor:

• If you or someone you know has been a victim of child sexual abuse in the past or present-day by clergy (priest or deacon), you are requested to report the incident in the following manner:

1. Make a report to Child Protective Services by calling (800) 800-5556 or local law enforcement.
2. Call Jackie Montrie M.A., LMFT, LMHC Victim Assistance Coordinator of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana, at (765) 464-4988.
3. Thereafter, an investigation will be undertaken by or on behalf of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana.

• If you or someone you know has been a victim of child sexual abuse in the past or present day by someone working in a parish or school for the Roman Catholic Church in the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana (such as a  religious sister or brother, lay employee, lay volunteer, etc.) you are requested to report the incident in the following manner:

1. Make a report to Child Protective Services by calling 800-800-5556 or local law enforcement.
2. Call our Ethics Hotline at 855-375-6796, or go to dioceseoflafayetteinindiana.ethicspoint.com. Or
3. Call Jeanne Lausten, Director of Human Resources at 765-269-4604.
