Major/Minor & Year: Agricultural Communication with a minor in Crop Science; Senior
How I got involved at St. Tom’s: Outside of Sunday Mass, my involvement at St. Tom’s was minimal until the second semester of my freshman year. At this point, I started becoming more active in student-led music ministry and also signed up for a spring break mission trip to Charleston, South Carolina. This trip changed my life and allowed me to experience the beauty of the Catholic community and fellowship. Upon returning to Indiana after the mission trip, staying active within Boiler Catholics became a priority for me. During the past few years, blessings have abounded from both the leadership opportunities within St. Tom’s and my personal spiritual growth.
Favorite Bible Verse: Isaiah 40:30-31: Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Bio: I’m the oldest of six girls and grew up primarily on a homestead in rural Southern Indiana. I love rock climbing, shooting, and sunshine. I’m passionate about communication, especially writing, and I’m a freelance journalist. For fun, I enjoy writing short stories and working on my novels. Music has always been a huge part of my life - I’ve been playing piano for ten years and grew up singing in the church choir. Spending time with my friends and loved ones is very important to me, and I’m looking forward to meeting more of the Boiler Catholics community.
My office hours will be on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. - stop by and say hello!
