Joined St. Tom's: This is my 7th year, started here as a freshmen in 2015, now a PhD Candidate!
Major/Year in School: Chemistry, with a focus in biophysical chemistry - this is my 4th year of graduate school.
Family: All of my biological family is back home in Indonesia, so I define family with the broadest scope - I consider a lot of people my family; My IndoCats family, my labmates and fellow biophysics trainees, the people I meet and work with at St. Tom's (and their families too), the people I met at CityBus, and so much more! I guess you can also say that Ben is my immediate family here
Ministry Involvements: Along the years, I've been a Liturgy Intern, Boiler Awakening, NAME, and just anywhere I'm needed Most recently I've served as a church mouse and PVPT. I'm also a member of the Indonesian Catholics, a group that never fails to brighten up my week!
"My first and fondest memory of what drew me to St. Tom's: Being the very easily bored person that I was as a freshman, I finished all my homework early and expected my friends to also do the same. I went to my friend's residence hall and to my surprise, they haven't done their homework and hence can't hang out that night. Sad and alone, I went across campus and for some reason went down to the basement of St. Tom's - I was greeted by Jeff Kuhn, who was a church mouse at that time, with the biggest and most welcoming smile. I ended up spending a lot of nights there, just studying, or waiting for the bus when it got cold. The rest is history! The priests, parishioners, staff (basically everyone) was so warm and friendly - this community is what I LOVE about St. Tom's."
