How I got involved at St. Tom’s: A large reason why I decided to even go to Purdue was because of Saint Tom’s welcoming presence. I remember going to a 7:00 pm mass with my dad during my college visit in high school. Everyone was extremely friendly, and they clearly exemplified the warmth of Christ’s spirit. During my first two years of school, I frequently attended mass and confessed but never got very involved until last semester. Going to mass started to feel different. I had a strong urge to get more involved with the St. Tom’s community. I joined an ignite group last semester, and it was the best decision I have ever made at Purdue. It pushed me to share my faith with others and grow as a disciple of Christ. Through this group, I have become more confident in my leadership faith, and that confidence has led me to the position of secretary. I am extremely excited to serve the St. Tom’s community through word and action each day this year.
Favorite Bible Verse: “For I know well the plans I have in mind for you – oracle of the Lord – plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11
Bio: I am from Downingtown, Pennsylvania (about 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia), and grew up in a loving Catholic family of five, with an older brother and a younger sister. Both my parents attended Purdue and raised me to be a giant Purdue sports fan. As a result, I love talking and playing sports. I am an outfielder on the Purdue Club Baseball team, and I love to ski with my family. Additionally, I am a Co-Op student working for a bridge design company called Parsons Corporation. For the next two semesters, I will be working in the design office during the day, and I will be working as your Boiler Catholics Secretary during the evenings. My office hours are on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 pm. Please feel free to stop by to talk about whatever you want (Faith, the flocknote, sports, school, etc.). I’m all ears!
