Major: Industrial Engineering
How I Got Involved at St. Tom's:
Since day one at Purdue, I have served as a pianist at the 9 AM Sunday Mass through our music ministry. I entered college in the Fall of 2020, which limited opportunities to engage with Boiler Catholics in a face-to-face capacity. I went through a two-and-a-half-year journey of attending weekly Mass but with little engagement with our Catholic student organization. However, in January 2023, major life changes spurred what I can only describe as a life-changing experience of faith, hope, and love through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, daily Bible study, altar serving, and leading a Boiler Awakening small group defined my growth as a man of God, and I owe everything to the St. Tom's community: they forever altered the course of my life. I don't just believe in God, I know Him. I feel incredibly blessed to serve St. Tom's, the Purdue community, and to bring souls to the kingdom through Boiler Catholics!
Favorite Bible Verse:
"Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
Biography:
My name is Geoffrey Ladue, and I was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, raised in Granger, Indiana, and reside in Wildwood, Missouri. I am the youngest of four, and my siblings Elizabeth, Meghan, and Ted are the greatest lights in my life. My parents, Geoff and Eileen, were the root of our family's deeply rooted Catholic faith. I attended public schools all the way through high school, but I am so blessed to have had parish priests and spiritual directors who formed me as a follower of Jesus in His Church. At Purdue, I serve as Drum Major of the "All-American" Marching Band, Trombonist & Pianist in Purdue Bands & Orchestras, and an Industrial Relations Representative of the Purdue Student Engineering Foundation. As Vice President & Outreach Coordinator, I am committed to sharing Christ's love with the 13,000 baptized Catholics on campus, all Christians, and those who have not yet met Christ. Please feel free to email me or stop by my office hours, 1:30 - 2:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so we can get to know one another, talk about faith, or just chat! God Bless you, and may the road always rise to meet you & the wind always be at your back!
