Major: Agricultural Education with a minor in Crop Science
How I got involved at St. Tom’s: When I began as a Freshman at Purdue, I felt a strong desire to experience catholic community, as it was something previously lacking in my life. Through the ministry fair and Sunday Night Dinner, I connected with Boiler Catholic Women, where I found a beautiful, welcoming sisterhood. From there, I became more involved at St. Tom’s by attending NSO, joining an Ignite group, and participating in PCS Sports. The spring semester of my freshman year, I had the opportunity to go on Boiler Awakening 18, which helped me feel even more at home at St. Tom’s.
Favorite Bible Verse: Mark 5:41, “He took the child by the hand and said to her, “Talitha Koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise!”
Fun Fact: I eat ketchup on my baked potatoes!
Favorite Saint: St. Therese of Lisieux
Bio: Hi friends! My name is Emily Tricker and I am currently a junior majoring in Agricultural Education with a minor in Crop Science here at Purdue. My hometown is Ladoga, IN, and I come from a long line of Boilermakers. I am the middle daughter of three girls in my family, and have two border collies that are the loves of my life named Max and Charlie. Outside of St. Tom’s, I am involved in Agronomy Club, IAAE, and am on the Purdue Crops Judging Team. I love spending time in God’s creation hiking, playing soccer, and watching Parks and Recreation. I am striving to live with greater intention and grow in virtue one day at a time on this lifelong journey of faith.
