G. Bradley Bodine (b. 1960) holds degrees from The Evergreen State College, Pacific Lutheran University, and the University of Arizona. He studied music composition with Daniel Asia, Stephen Scott, Gregory Youtz, and Ronald Hurst, OSB.
He has been the recipient of numerous awards and commissions. His compositions have been performed throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia.
The composer was commissioned by eleven university/college percussion ensembles to compose Namaste: Concerto for Marimba and Percussion Ensemble. He was commissioned by the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana to compose a setting of Psalm 110 for the ordination of Bishop Timothy L. Doherty.
Dr. Bodine studied choral conducting with Wayne Hertz and Richard Sparks. Additional studies in the field of choral conducting include attending the 2018 Choral Institute at Oxford led by James Jordan and James Whitbourn, as well as masterclasses with Paul Salamunovich, Ann Howard Jones, Robert Page, Chanticleer, and a choral workshop with Craig Jessop.
G. Bradley Bodine has served for 30 years as the Music Coordinator/Composer in Residence at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center at Purdue, and he is a Senior Lecturer at Purdue University. He served as the Composer in Residence of the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra from 2009 to 2013.
