  • A reminder that automated, online giving through Faith Direct can make giving even easier for you. To sign up, visit boilercatholics.org, click on “Give” and then the “make a donation” link. For those who prefer to donate through cash and checks, you may continue to send them or insert them into the secure drop-box in the alleyway
  • We came together in prayer and community last Sunday to address the societal issue of racial injustice. Our Wall of Hope, filled with parishioner messages, is now located on the steps of the church’s west entrance. You are encouraged to stop by and reflect upon the messages that have been left on the wall and to add yours. … But now it is time for active listening and learning. To facilitate some opening discussion as a faith community, St. Tom’s has scheduled a “watch party” for the movie “Just Mercy” on Saturday evening, June 27. Offered free of charge by Warner Brothers during the month of June, parishioners will stream the movie at home starting at 7:00 p.m. and then gather by Zoom afterward for a post-view discussion. More information is in today’s Bulletin and will be shared by Flocknote as details become available.
  • We thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate through our Return to Worship plans. The Diocese of Lafayette entered Phase B on Saturday, and our Planning Committee met Thursday evening to discuss plans for St. Tom’s. In general, not much will change during this phase other than the option to attend in-person daily Mass and another daily Reconciliation time at 11 a.m. Details will be in Sunday night’s Mass reservation Flocknote
  • That same weekend we will offer another St. Tom’s Drive-In Movie on Friday night beginning at sundown (around 9:20 p.m.) AND with the parking lot lights off. The Disney Pixar movie “Up” will be featured, free of charge. All are welcome!
  • Be sure to get your St. Tom’s “Back to Mass” gator, which doubles as a mask and is a requirement for attending Mass in person. Pick yours up in the tub next to the secure lockbox in the alleyway and place $10 for each one in the lockbox
  • And just before the movie starts, we will have the drawing for our $50K Raffle! This is two days earlier than what was announced, BUT it does not affect the deadline for purchasing tickets (which is the end of the business day on Friday, June 26). Although you need not be present to win, we would love to see you all at the Drive-In movie night.
  • Remember to submit your photo of your father on boilercatholics.org under Announcements by this Tuesday to be included in a special Father’s Day presentation during Mass next Sunday, June 21.
  • Looking for ways to deepen your prayer and minimize distractions? St. Tom’s offers you a new opportunity. Nextstep is a series of 1 to 3-minute Podcasts with practical advice! Join today. A sign-up link is available under the Announcements section of boilercatholics.org.
  • And finally, “A Church is Not a Building.” … Continue to keep that mindset and keep sharing inspirational photos of where you see God present in your life. Submit them online on boilercatholics.org under Announcements or through the hashtag #ChurchIsNotABuildingStToms. Today’s featured image on the pre-Mass slide was submitted by Anne Brickler.
