Theology on Tap - "Late Have I Loved You - Some Thoughts on St. Augustine of Hippo"

Enjoy great company and theological discussion during Theology on Tap on the first Tuesday of each month. This month John Strong, director of Evangelization, will present "Late Have I loved  You – Some Thoughts on St. Augustine of Hippo." Theology on Tap meets at 7:00 p.m. at Harry's Chocolate Shop down the street (329 W State St.) in the upstairs meeting room. 

About St. Augustine:
St. Augustine was a theologian and philosopher of Berber origin and the bishop of Hippo Regius in Numidia, Roman North Africa. His writings influenced the development of Western philosophy and Western Christianity, and he is viewed as one of the most important Church Fathers of the Latin Church in the Patristic Period. His many important works include The City of God, On Christian Doctrine, and Confessions.

His memorial is celebrated on 28 August, the day of his death. Augustine is the patron saint of brewers, printers, theologians, and a number of cities and dioceses.^[33] His thoughts profoundly influenced the medieval worldview.
