Led by James McLean, director of evangelization, the group will study Galatians, which is a letter written by the Apostle Paul to Christian communities in the region of Galatia, fiercely defending the idea that salvation comes solely through faith in Jesus Christ, not by following the works of the Mosaic Law, and strongly criticizing those who were trying to undermine this message by advocating for circumcision and adherence to Jewish law for Gentile converts. Essentially, it argues that Christians, regardless of their Jewish or Gentile background, are justified by faith alone and are free from the bondage of the Law.
